Hotel New Otani is offering two types of student discount plans for the “Shell Pool,” the outdoor pool at Hotel New Otani Makuhari (2-120-3 Hibino, Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture), during its night pool hours. This limited-time offer runs from August 15 to September 22. Guests can enjoy the pool at a discount of up to approximately half the regular price.
Amid a record-breaking heat wave, Shell Pool is hosting a night pool event as part of the “night activities” trend—a way to stay cool while having fun. The event runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with last admission at 8:00 p.m. Additionally, the “Student Discount Plan,” which was well-received during its July release, is making a comeback in two different formats.
With the “Night Pool Student Discount Plan,” which offers great value for groups, the regular admission fee—which is normally up to 6,500 yen—is reduced to 3,500 yen, regardless of whether it’s a weekend or holiday. Groups of four or more will receive one complimentary non-alcoholic drink per person.
The “Student Pair Discount Plan ~Premium~,” available exclusively for phone reservations, guarantees access to the premium poolside seats “Hauoli” or “Gazebo.” For groups of two or more, the price drops from the usual maximum of 18,000 yen to 10,000 yen. This plan offers a great value for a night pool experience in a luxurious, upscale setting.
This summer’s poolside menu features a “pink” theme. Highlights include the signature “Pink × Pink Smash Cheeseburger,” as well as sweets like the “Pink Malasada ~Double Strawberry~”—an assortment of two types of malasadas coated with strawberry powder and strawberry chocolate— and the “Pink Float Sparkling,” an original drink that looks like a miniature version of the pink floats available for rent at Shell Pool.
