The “WAQ AIR BED” with a built-in electric pump is perfect as a guest bed during the Obon holiday season. After use, it can be stored compactly in its carrying bag.

The outdoor brand WAQ offers the “WAQ AIR BED,” an air bed with a built-in electric pump that can also be used as a guest bed during the Obon holiday season when family members return home. It comes in two sizes—single and double—with the single priced at 14,980 yen and the double at 19,800 yen.

The WAQ AIR BED is an air mattress designed to provide a comfortable place to sleep outdoors, and it comes in two colors: Coyote and Black. It features a built-in rechargeable electric pump, allowing you to inflate and deflate it with the push of a button.

After use, simply deflate and fold it up; the single size measures approximately 63 × 23 × 46 cm, and the double size measures approximately 65 × 28 × 53 cm (width × depth × height), making it easy to store compactly without taking up much space in a closet or similar area.

Both the single and double sizes have a height of approximately 40 cm when in use. Compared to mats or futons laid directly on the floor, they are easier to sit on, and they allow you to set up your sleeping area at a height that makes it easier to stand up than if you were getting up directly from the floor. Additionally, the surface features fabric with built-in foam, and a special internal structure of air tubes supports the body while minimizing the sinking and floating sensations typical of air beds.

During the Obon homecoming season, family members and relatives who normally live apart gather at their parents’ home, which can lead to a temporary increase in the number of overnight guests. The WAQ AIR BED can be easily inflated using its built-in pump, and after use, the air can be deflated and the bed packed away in its storage bag, making it an ideal choice for accommodating guests during the homecoming season.
