Sanrio Puroland (1-31 Ochiai, Tama City, Tokyo) will revise the prices of its Passport Tickets (admission tickets) for visitors entering on or after August 1.
Both the old and new systems adopt a dynamic pricing system. Currently, Day Pass ticket prices are set at seven tiers: 3,900–5,900 yen for adults and 2,800–4,800 yen for high school students and younger and seniors. Under the revised pricing structure, adult prices will range from 3,900 to 6,900 yen, and 2,800–5,800 yen for high school students and younger and seniors, with 10 price tiers. New price points of 6,300/6,600/6,900 yen for adults (and 3,900/4,100/4,300 yen for high school students and younger and seniors) will be added. Admission is free for children 2 years old and under.
For the Afternoon Passport, which allows entry starting at 2:00 p.m., the pricing structure will also be changed from 7 tiers to 10 tiers, with new rates of 4,200 yen, 4,400 yen, and 4,600 yen for adults (3,900 yen, 4,100 yen, and 4,300 yen for high school students and younger, and seniors). The lowest prices start at 2,800 yen for adults and 2,500 yen for high school students and younger and seniors.
The new rates for August are in effect for 14 days, primarily covering the Obon period and weekends: the highest rates apply from the 9th to the 15th, with a day pass for adults costing 6,900 yen; the 8th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd are 6,600 yen; and the 21st, 29th, and 30th are 6,300 yen (as of July 28).
Regarding this price adjustment, Puroland has announced, “By expanding the range of passport prices, we aim to better balance the fluctuations in visitor numbers between peak and off-peak seasons and strive to further enhance the value of our theme park.”
Please note that new prices for annual passes will take effect for passes sold on or after April 1. The current prices (digital/card versions) are 23,000 yen/25,000 yen for adults and 12,000 yen/14,000 yen for high school students and younger, and the passes are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
