MUJI’s New Undergarment: “Skincare You Wear.” Registered as a cosmetic product; its effects last even after washing.

Posted on August 9, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Ryohin Keikaku, the company behind the MUJI brand, will launch a new line of undergarments called “Skincare You Wear” on August 10. The company held a new product launch event at its Tokyo headquarters on July 29.

The “Skincare You Wear” series was developed over approximately three years as a way to care for the skin not only during morning and evening skincare routines, but also throughout the day and while sleeping. It uses rayon fibers developed in Japan, and its registration as a cosmetic product was completed in December 2025.

Because the amino acids—which are also found in MUJI’s skincare products—are incorporated into the fibers themselves, the moisturizing ingredients are retained within the fibers even after repeated washing.

The lineup includes, for women: lace camisoles, tank tops, U-neck long-sleeve T-shirts, leggings, lace ballet-neck three-quarter-sleeve T-shirts, and turtleneck long-sleeve T-shirts; and for men: crew-neck short-sleeve T-shirts and crew-neck long-sleeve T-shirts. Prices range from 1,990 yen to 3,990 yen.
