On July 30, Ikaros Publishing released the September 2026 issue of *Monthly Airline*. It is a 144-page, non-standard A4-sized publication priced at 1,760 yen.
The special feature is titled “Celebrating Boeing’s 110th Anniversary!”
It all began with “Pacific Aero Products,” founded in 1916 by William Edward Boeing and others; the company adopted the name “Boeing” the following year.
Over the past 110 years, even focusing solely on passenger aircraft, the company has introduced models that symbolize each era—from the Model 377 Stratocruiser, a luxurious passenger jet that epitomized the piston-engine era, to the 707 and 727, which pioneered the jet age, the 747 Jumbo Jet, which transformed air travel with its overwhelming cargo capacity, and the 777 and 787—high-efficiency airliners that represent the modern era—Boeing has introduced models that symbolize each era, continuing to project a presence that has earned it the reputation that “when it comes to passenger aircraft, it’s Boeing.”
