The Yodogawa Ward Office in Osaka City and a consortium of private companies—RETOWN, Rui Design Studio, and the OneOsaka River Cruise Business Consortium—will open “Yodogawa Tsutsumi-ichi Minamo Juso” (located in the vicinity of 1-chome, Juso-Higashi, Yodogawa Ward, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture), a mixed-use facility featuring a food stall village and recreational activities, on August 8.
Located in a riverside area about a 7-minute walk from the “Juso” Station on the Hankyu Railway line, this project has created a lively space for dining and relaxation that makes full use of the Yodo River, reflecting the spirit of “Osaka, the Water City.” A food stall area featuring 22 restaurants with ties to Osaka (with plans to expand to a maximum of 29) will open, along with “WONDER BBQ FIELD Juso,” an urban BBQ facility that operates by reservation.
In addition to holding occasional hands-on learning programs that take advantage of the Yodo River’s natural environment, the organization also hosts events in collaboration with local groups and residents, primarily on weekends and holidays. On weekends, visitors can also enjoy a sightseeing cruise around the Juso area.
On the day of the grand opening, an opening ceremony—including a ribbon-cutting—will be held starting at 4:00 p.m., and the grand opening will take place at 4:30 p.m.
