The Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival Executive Committee will implement traffic restrictions on public roads and the Metropolitan Expressway in the vicinity of the venue in conjunction with the “2026 Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival,” which will be held on August 8.
On public roads, vehicle traffic will be prohibited from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. along the routes leading from JR Sobu Line’s Sendagaya and Shinano-cho Stations, as well as Tokyo Metro’s Gaienmae and Aoyama-itchome Stations, to the area surrounding the venue. Access restrictions will be in place near the fireworks launch site from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On the Metropolitan Expressway No. 4 Shinjuku Line, vehicle traffic will be suspended at the Gaien Interchange on the northbound lanes from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
On the day of the event, Tokyo Metro will operate special trains on the Ginza Line from around 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., adding 11 extra trains in each direction (toward and from Asakusa) to transport spectators.
Due to traffic restrictions, Toei Bus will operate on a shortened schedule. On the routes between Meguro Station and Sendagaya Station, and between Waseda University Main Gate—Shibuya Station East Exit—Waseda University Main Gate (loop), there will be changes to the operating routes and some bus stops will be temporarily closed.
