The water may feel a bit hot at first, so it’s best to add some tap water to adjust the temperature before getting in. The “Corner Suite,” the most spacious room featuring a “free-flowing hot spring cypress open-air bath,” measures 69 square meters and can accommodate up to four guests with two beds and a floor mattress. It features a spacious corner garden with direct access to the outdoors and a tatami-mat living room. The beds feature mattresses made by the U.S. brand Serta. The rate per night for two guests, including dinner and breakfast, starts at 224,000 yen per room. The “Corner Premium Double,” which features a “flowing hot spring semi-open-air bath with a view,” measures 57 square meters and features a single large double bed (240 × 210 cm), accommodating up to two guests. This room is the only one to feature a King Coil mattress from the U.S. It is characterized by a large semi-open-air bath facing the window. It is ideal for guests who want a sense of openness while still enjoying the comfort of the room. Rates start at 204,000 yen per room per night for two guests, including dinner and breakfast. The “Japanese-Western Style Twin Room with Free-Flowing Hot Spring Cypress Open-Air Bath” ranges from 58 to 62 m² and accommodates up to four guests. Staying in a Japanese-Western-Style Double Room with a Cypress Open-Air Bath The room I tried was Room 411, a “Japanese-Western-Style Double Room” featuring a “cypress open-air bath with a continuous flow of hot spring water.” It measures 46 square meters and is the only room of its kind. The double bed measures 240 × 210 cm. For a stay of two people, rates start at 144,000 yen per room, including dinner and breakfast. Since the amenities are the same across all rooms—including the suites—I’ll describe the ones provided in this room. While every room has its own hot spring bath, the top floor also features “Miharashi no Yu.” It includes a “sleeping bath” where you can lie down and soak while enjoying the view. It is open from before sunrise until 10:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. until midnight. A 45-minute private session costs 5,500 yen. There is also a large public bath on the first floor, which includes a sauna.
