On August 10—known as “Pigeon Day,” which marks the company’s founding anniversary—Toshimaya will release a limited-edition silicone pouch called “Hatokko,” designed with its signature “Hato Sablé” cookies as the motif.
This soft silicone pouch is sized to perfectly hold one Hato Sabure cookie and is priced at 1,500 yen each. It comes in two designs: “Brown,” which evokes the Hato Sabure cookie, and “White,” featuring the brand logo. The reverse side features a raised dove pattern, and the pouch includes an original Hato Sabure-shaped carabiner.
The main store in Komachi, Kamakura, and three special event venues (Zushi Culture Plaza Civic Exchange Center, Toyoshimaya Confectionery’s Ofuna Factory, and Fueida Factory) will sell the items individually, while department store locations in Kanagawa Prefecture and Tokyo will sell a set consisting of one pouch (brown or white) and four Hato Sablé cookies for 2,100 yen.
In addition, on the “Pigeon Day Special Site” of the Toshimaya Online Store, a set combining two types of pouches (brown and white) with a box of 8 Pigeon Sablés will be available for pre-order for 4,080 yen for a limited time of 24 hours, from 8:10 a.m. on August 10 to 8:10 a.m. on August 11 (Please allow at least three months for shipping).
