Yesterday, a preview of the evening main show “One Piece Premier Show 2026,” which will be held at Water World, was held for the press. This year’s show is packed with features fans have been eagerly awaiting, including Hancock’s return to the main show for the first time in 12 years.
Universal Studios Japan will kick off “One Piece Premier Summer 2026,” a limited-time event themed around the TV anime “ONE PIECE,” on July 30.

“One Piece Premier Show 2026” begins at 6:45 p.m., when the heat has subsided. The approximately 80-minute show begins with the Straw Hat Crew stopping at a certain island during their voyage.
The island was gearing up for its annual festival, and the group happened to run into the Nine-Snake Pirates, led by Hancock. The island has deep ties to the Nine-Snake Pirates, and they were reportedly preparing for the festival.
Although the Straw Hat Pirates joined in the festival preparations, something unexpected suddenly happened to Margaret, a member of the Nine-Snake Pirates. To everyone’s surprise, she had grown cat ears.
The cause of this is “Bendiger,” an original character who appears in the story. Anyone attacked by Bendiger is transformed into a demon cat and becomes his minion. Bendiger’s goal is to take revenge on the World Government—.
Will Luffy and his crew be able to stop Bendiger? It’s a plot twist that keeps you on the edge of your seat right up to the very end.
In addition to the story itself, the special effects—such as fire, water, and light—and the largest number of pyrotechnics ever featured in a Premier Show are not to be missed. As the popular characters’ signature moves were recreated with breathtaking intensity, guests attending the preview were visibly thrilled, and the venue was buzzing with excitement.
Toward the end of the event, there will be a dance session where guests can join in, as well as a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity where you can meet Luffy and the crew right in front of you. The dance will be taught by the hugely popular Duval. We recommend purchasing the “Scarf Towel (2,100 yen)”—featuring this year’s exclusive design—to really get into the spirit of the event.
A special ticket is required for the “One Piece Premier Show 2026.” Prices start at 3,000 yen for adults (ages 12 and up) and 2,000 yen for children (ages 4–11). Tickets can be purchased at the Universal Studios Japan Web Ticket Store or through Lawson Ticket (online only).
