Fifteen transportation operators in the Kyushu region, including JR Kyushu, will begin selling the digital version of the “Travel Expert’s Kyushu Enjoyment Pass”—a great-value unlimited-ride pass—on the travel app “my route” starting September 1.
JR Kyushu (including the Hita-Hikosan Line BRT) and West Japan Railway Company (including Limited Express and Express trains), the Fukuoka City Subway, and the Kagoshima City Tram—covering standard-class non-reserved seats on local and rapid trains across these 15 rail and tram lines. The price is 13,000 yen for a set of three one-day unlimited ride passes (per person).
The validity period is 90 days from the start of use (you must begin using the ticket within 7 days of the purchase date). A single-day pass becomes valid until 2:00 a.m. the following day when you tap the “Use” button on the app upon boarding. Within the JR Kyushu “QR Tikeres” area, you can pass through ticket gates and other QR readers; outside this area or on other railways, you must show the screen to a station attendant to board.
In addition, the traditional paper tickets sold at Midori no Madoguchi and other locations will continue to be sold at a revised price of 14,000 yen starting September 1. They are valid for three months from the date of purchase and are valid only on the day of purchase.
