Hotel New Otani Makuhari (2-120-3 Hibino, Mihama Ward, Chiba City) is offering a “Pool & BBQ” package that includes admission to the outdoor pool on weekdays only from July 24 to September 18 (excluding August 10–14).
From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., guests can enjoy unlimited access to the summer-only outdoor pool, “Shell Pool,” and in the evening, they can enjoy a “hands-free” BBQ at the adjacent garden restaurant, “Shell the Garden”—with no need to prepare, travel, or clean up—allowing them to enjoy two of the summer vacation’s top leisure activities at once. Prices are 17,000 yen for adults (regularly 23,000 yen) and 3,800 yen for children (regularly 5,300 yen), and day-use visits without a hotel stay are also available.
The adult BBQ menu includes a platter featuring Kuroge Wagyu sirloin, lobster, and Chiba Prefecture’s “Ichi” ice-temperature-aged coarsely ground sausage, as well as a spicy Thai-style glass noodle salad, chilled vichyssoise, and chilled Chinese noodles. Drinks include all-you-can-drink cold beer and wine. For children, we offer the “Kids’ Dinosaur Curry Set,” featuring curry, hamburger steak, and fried chicken served in a dinosaur-shaped bowl.
Hotel staff handle everything from setting up the equipment and lighting the fire to cleaning up, so you can come empty-handed. For a more casual experience, you can switch to the “All-You-Can-Eat Chiba Gourmet Set” (14,000 yen), featuring an adult-oriented menu packed with local ingredients, or the “Beer Party Set” (11,000 yen), which includes cold beer and appetizers.
