JR East will run the “Welcome to Sendai!!” campaign in collaboration with the popular volleyball anime “Haikyū!!,” set in Miyagi Prefecture, from August 19 to October 31.
While riding the Tohoku Shinkansen or Akita Shinkansen, passengers can use the audio AR app “Locatone” to listen to exclusive, original audio clips featuring seven characters, including the protagonist, Shoyo Hinata, right on the train.
In addition, all participants who purchase and use a “Shinkansen e-Ticket” with Sendai Station as their destination and register via the dedicated “JRE POINT” website will receive an original digital image as a bonus. Furthermore, 100 participants will be selected by lottery to receive a limited-edition collaboration collection card (1 design available).
From August 26 to September 2, a limited-time collaboration merchandise sale will be held in a special space in front of the stained-glass window inside Sendai Station. The lineup includes acrylic stands (1,870 yen) and clear file folders (440 yen) featuring characters dressed in station attendant uniforms. To coincide with this event, special in-station announcements featuring Shoyo Hyuga and Tobio Kageyama—exclusive to this campaign—will be broadcast at Sendai Station throughout the event period.
