I Checked Out the New Floor at Hotel New Akao, Where Kids Take Center Stage! All-Weather Park with Unlimited Play and Guest Rooms Designed for Three-Generation Trips Now Open

Posted on July 23, 2026 by Editor in Chief

“Hotel New Akao Kids Park”—where kids can play regardless of the weather. Hours: 2:00 PM–8:00 PM, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM (Last admission 30 minutes before each session ends)

Admission Fee: 500 yen for both adults and children; free for guests staying on the Kids’ Floor

Recommended Age: Elementary school students and younger

*You may enter as many times as you like until 12:00 p.m. on the day after your visit; same-day visits are also permitted.

*A signed consent form and parental supervision are required. This space, formerly used as the “Nishiki-matsu and Hagoromo” banquet halls, has been renovated into a Kids’ Park. The approximately 260-square-meter area features a “3D Play Equipment Area (ages 4 and up through elementary school),” a “Digital Content Area,” “Showa Era Area,” “Foam Play Area,” “Role-Play Area,” “Picture Book Area,” and “Baby Area”—allowing children to choose an area suited to their age and interests. Not only can children play regardless of the weather, but a dedicated guest relations team focused on “hospitality” is on-site to manage operations and provide support to ensure parents and children can enjoy their time with peace of mind.

Four types of guest rooms are available for families. The Kids Floor on the 12th floor features 22 family-friendly concept rooms across all four types, all of which offer ocean views. Guests can choose from four types based on the number of people staying: the spacious “Kids Room Premier” (52–65 m², sleeps 7), the “Kids Room Triple” (28–31 m², sleeps 3), the “Kids Room Twin” (22–25 m², sleeps 2), and the 36 m² “Kids Room Japanese-Style” (sleeps 5). Guests can choose from these four types based on the number of people in their party, making them ideal for group stays such as multigenerational family trips. In particular, the Kids Room Premier features a vibrant and colorful interior inspired by circus tents and carnivals, and is fully equipped with a wall-projected home theater and a retro microwave. Kids’ Room Premier (6 rooms / 52–65 m² / capacity: 7 guests) Kids’ Room Triple (8 rooms / 28–31 m² / capacity: 3 guests) Kids’ Room Twin (4 rooms / 22–25 m² / capacity: 2 guests) Kids’ Room (Japanese-Style) (4 rooms / 10 tatami mats / 36 m² / Sleeps 5)
