On July 22, the Aichi-Nagoya Tourism Promotion Council, NEXCO Central Japan, and Nagoya Expressway began selling “Hayatabi: ‘Let’s Explore the Fun of Aichi and Nagoya! Drive Plan with the Aichi-Nagoya Sightseeing Passport’,” a discount package available exclusively to vehicles equipped with ETC.
This package combines the “Sightseeing Pass,” which offers unlimited travel at a flat rate within designated areas of NEXCO Central Japan and on the entire Nagoya Expressway network, with the “Aichi-Nagoya Sightseeing Passport (Paper Ticket),” which grants admission to 40 tourist facilities—including art museums and museums—in Aichi Prefecture on weekdays only. Normally priced at 4,500 yen, this passport can be purchased for a special price of 3,000 yen per vehicle when using the Drive Plan, limited to one passport per vehicle. It is possible to purchase additional passes for passengers, but the second and subsequent passes will be charged at the regular price of 4,500 yen.
The unlimited ride areas include “3-Day Aichi and Shizuoka Tour (Departing from and Returning to the Greater Tokyo Area)” and “2-Day Hokuriku, Owari, and Gifu Tour.” and “2-Day Aichi and Hamamatsu Tour.” For example, the package price for the 3-Day Tokyo Metropolitan Area to Aichi and Shizuoka Tour plan using a standard car is 15,000 yen (Tour Pass + Sightseeing Passport).
The validity period is from July 29 to December 25 (excluding August 7–16, September 19–23, and the three-day weekends in October and November), and tickets will be on sale until December 25. You must apply via the official NEXCO Central Japan website before the start of the validity period. Please note that if the sales quota is reached, the offer will end without prior notice, even during the validity period.
The Aichi-Nagoya Sightseeing Passport grants admission to participating facilities such as the Aichi Aviation Museum and the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, and—combined with unlimited use of expressways—offers a great value for exploring the prefecture.
