Sustainable Pavilion 2025, Computing and Nature, Mitsubishi Estate, and Macnica will hold the grand opening of their permanent museum theater, “null2n (NullNull Nexus),” on October 14. General ticket sales began on July 14.
“null2n” builds upon and expands the worldview of “null2,” the signature pavilion created by media artist Yoichi Ochiai for the Osaka-Kansai World Expo. It operates as a permanent museum theater on the 5th floor of Landmark Plaza in Yokohama Landmark Tower (2-2-1 Minatomirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture).
The highlight of the facility is an LED theater where visitors can experience an infinitely expanding mirrored world. While null2 (NullNull) featured only one LED theater, null2n (NullNull Nexus) will expand this to two rooms.
The experience is linked to the dedicated smartphone app “Mirrored Body.” It allows users to create their own digital avatar in the digital world; at null2, approximately 170,000 of the roughly 600,000 visitors have downloaded the app.
Just like the pavilions at the World Expo, the permanent exhibition’s presentation changes in real time and organically based on visitor data registered in the app. Visitors can interact with their own avatars.
The null2n event lasts approximately 60 minutes, and admission tickets (electronic tickets with QR codes) are available only through advance reservations with specific dates and times. Two ticket options are available: the standard ticket and a ticket that includes an original pin badge.
