The “TOFROM YAESU” redevelopment project, led by a consortium including Tokyo Tatemono, announced that it will open “TOFROM YAESU TOWER”—a large-scale mixed-use building with 51 stories above ground and 4 stories below ground, “TOFROM YAESU TOWER,” a large-scale mixed-use complex, will open on September 10.
In addition, a commercial zone with a total area of approximately 6,000 m² will be established on the lower floors, featuring a total of 68 stores, primarily restaurants “originating in Tokyo.” In addition to local institutions such as “Kappo Shimamura,” a Japanese restaurant with a history spanning over 170 years, and “Tai Kou Rou TOKYO,” which serves authentic Chinese cuisine, reopening with a fresh new look, the complex will also feature a new concept from the Michelin-starred tempura restaurant “Ten Yokota: Tomorrow,” as well as a lineup of famous restaurants “Yakitori Omino Shizuku,” will also be among the renowned establishments lining the area.
Unlike typical commercial facilities, which are designed to guide visitors through an interior circulation route, this building is characterized by its unique design, in which many stores are located along the street front, creating a look as if small street-level shops were stacked vertically.
In addition, “Himono-cho Square,” a plaza designed to bring vibrancy to the neighborhood, has opened within the facility. Visitors can relax in this atrium-style space, which features 7-meter-tall trees and cypress benches and tables. The square also offers opportunities to experience Yaesu’s traditions, such as a permanent exhibition of the mikoshi (portable shrine) used in the local “Sanno Festival,” and is expected to be utilized as an event venue.
In addition, the complex will house the “Tokyo Tatemono Pia Theater & Conference,” a theater and international conference facility with approximately 800 seats—the first of its kind in the Tokyo Station area—as well as the “Nippon Medical School Yaesu Health Screening Station,” a preventive healthcare facility aimed at the early detection of cancer through PET scans.
“Bus Terminal Tokyo Yaesu Underground A,” one of the country’s largest express bus terminals, opened ahead of schedule on March 20 in the basement.
