The Takasaki Festival Executive Committee in Gunma Prefecture will hold the “52nd Takasaki Festival Grand Fireworks Display” on August 22. The event will take place on the riverbank upstream of the Wada Bridge on the Karasugawa River, with fireworks scheduled from 7:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. (The event will be postponed to the following day in case of inclement weather.)
The Takasaki Fireworks Festival is known for its fast-paced, spectacular display, featuring approximately 15,000 fireworks launched in a short period of time. As in previous years, paid viewing seats for a total of 14,230 people will be available near the launch site at Venues A, B, and F (3,500 yen for adults, 2,500 yen for high school students and younger, etc.) near the launch site. Additionally, to allow as many people as possible to enjoy the fireworks, free viewing areas with capacity for approximately 53,000 people will be open at Venues C, D, and E.
Advance tickets for paid seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis online (Seven Ticket, FamilyMart Ticket, Rakuten Ticket) and at convenience store multi-function copiers (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Lawson, Ministop), as well as at the City Tourism Division and the Takasaki Tourism Association.
