“Nagashima Spa Land” (333 Urayasu, Nagashima-cho, Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture), an amusement park operated by Nagashima Tourism Development, will open its summer-only “Nagashima Jumbo Seawater Pool” on July 11.

Spanning a total area of approximately 75,000 square meters, this is one of the world’s largest water parks, featuring 11 types of slides and 10 types of pools. Highlight attractions include the “Mega Abyss,” a heart-pounding slide that plunges from a height of 30 meters at a maximum incline of 48 degrees; “JAPAAAAN,” where approximately 3 metric tons of water pours down all at once from a giant bucket standing about 18 meters tall; and the “Super Rapids Pool,” where visitors navigate through waves and splashes.

In addition, “Spa Kids,” a covered indoor children’s pool that uses fresh water and provides protection from UV rays, features approximately 50 attractions across 30 different types, making it ideal for children’s first pool experience. The pool will remain open until September 28.

In addition, “Mitsui Outlet Park Jazz Dream Nagashima” (368 Urayasu, Nagashima-cho, Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture), also located within Nagashima Resort, offers products and services to help visitors beat the heat. For visitors returning from the pool, the park will distribute “refreshing drinks” and special discount coupons for restaurants—available in limited quantities each day—and has newly installed “Cool Space,” one of Japan’s largest cooling systems, which emits cool air at temperatures ranging from -3 to 7°C. Visitors can also enjoy “refreshing, cool, and spicy summer cuisine” at various restaurants throughout the facility.

In addition, starting July 17, the “SUPER OUTLET SALE”—a major sale offering discounts of up to 80%—will begin. You’ll find great deals on summer fashion from popular brands, as well as sports and outdoor gear, travel items, and kitchenware.
