Rakuten Travel is holding the “Rakuten Travel Summer Sale,” offering great deals on summer travel reservations, through July 21. The sale features special packages at hotels and hot spring inns nationwide, and customers can save up to 30% by combining these offers with currently available coupons.

Kame no I Hotel Kusatsu Resort in Kusatsu Onsen (15-8 Kusatsu, Kusatsu-machi, Agatsuma District, Gunma Prefecture) is currently offering a package that includes one night’s stay and two buffet meals. Prices start at 10,270 yen per person for double occupancy.

The hotel draws 100% free-flowing water directly from the “Bandai Mine Spring”—which boasts the highest flow rate and temperature among the four hot springs in Kusatsu—allowing guests to enjoy the highly acidic water (pH 1.6) with its powerful exfoliating and antibacterial properties. A shuttle bus is available between the hotel and Yubatake, and guests can also enjoy a complimentary tour of the hot springs at the sister hotels.

There are a total of 103 guest rooms, including Japanese-Western-style rooms that accommodate up to six guests, traditional tatami-mat rooms (7.5 tatami mats and 10 tatami mats), and Western-style twin rooms, allowing guests to choose the room that best suits their needs.

Breakfast and dinner are served at the observation restaurant on the top floor, which overlooks the hot spring town. The restaurant offers a Japanese and Western buffet featuring a wide variety of “Jōshū delicacies,” such as grilled river fish and the famous sauce katsu don.
