The JR Group will begin selling the “Seishun 18 Ticket” and the “Seishun 18 Ticket Hokkaido Shinkansen Option Ticket” for the spring of 2026 starting on July 3.

The Seishun 18 Ticket is a pass that provides unlimited travel on JR local and rapid trains (in standard-class non-reserved seats), BRT (Bus Rapid Transit), and the JR West Miyajima Ferry throughout Japan.
Starting in the winter of fiscal year 2024, 3-day passes are also available for purchase, and passengers can now use automatic ticket gates on JR lines.
However, each ticket is valid for one person only and is valid for either 3 or 5 consecutive days starting from the start date specified at the time of purchase. You cannot split a single ticket among multiple people or use it on non-consecutive dates, nor can it be used by two children.
If you use the JR West Miyajima Ferry, a separate Miyajima Visitor Tax (100 yen) is required on site.
