Renovation work on the Tomei Expressway between Oi-Matsuda IC and Shimizu JCT. The right lane of southbound traffic will be closed continuously, day and night, among other measures.

NEXCO Central Japan’s Tokyo Branch will carry out renovation work on both directions of the Tomei Expressway (E1) between the Oi-Matsuda Interchange and the Shimizu Junction. The work will take place from 6:00 a.m. on September 1 through midnight on April 16, 2027.

Since traffic congestion is expected due to lane closures during the construction period, authorities are urging drivers to take detours via the Odawara-Atsugi Road (E85), the Higashi-Fuji Five Lakes Road (E68), and the Shin-Tomei Expressway (E1A), adjust their travel times, or use public transportation.
