The Japan RV Association (JRVA) will expand its pilot program for “RV Parks”—overnight parking facilities utilizing store parking lots at Lawson convenience stores in Chiba Prefecture—to Saitama, Shizuoka, and Aichi prefectures starting July 17, operating at approximately 30 locations.
The association has evaluated convenience stores as suitable RV parks due to their 24-hour parking, restrooms, and food and beverage options, as well as the sense of security provided by staffed operations. After conducting a pilot program for about one year at seven Lawson stores in Chiba Prefecture, the association confirmed the program’s effectiveness and has therefore decided to expand the service area.
The newly opened RV parks in Chiba, Saitama, Shizuoka, and Aichi prefectures will begin accepting reservations on July 6 and will be available for use starting July 17.
