Hotel New Akao (1993-250 Atami, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture) will open its summer-only natural seawater pool, “Ocean Pool,” on July 1. Set in a dramatic location surrounded by the sheer cliffs of the scenic Nishikigaura, guests can enjoy an overwhelming sense of openness that blends seamlessly with the Sagami Bay and a unique seaside experience found nowhere else.
In addition to year-round water activities such as SUP and kayaking, we are introducing a new “Underwater Scooter Snorkeling Experience Tour” this summer. The fee is 9,900 yen, and since all equipment—including a mask and wetsuit—is included in the price, participants can join with ease. The tour runs twice daily, starting at 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., with each session lasting about 60 minutes. Participants must be in their third year of junior high school or older, and swimwear is available for rent for an additional fee.
In addition, the outdoor dining area “Main Dining Nishiki Terrace Area,” which opened on June 1, is directly connected to the activity hub, allowing guests to enjoy their meals seamlessly.
In addition to marine activities, the facility also offers craft workshops such as making moss terrariums, gel candles, herbarium pencils, and food samples. We offer a variety of hands-on programs that are enjoyable for everyone from children to adults.
