On July 3, Tokyo Disneyland held a special event called the “‘Fan Time with Toy Story 5’ Private Evening Party,” where guests could enjoy the park exclusively. A special talk show was also held at the Forest Theater in Fantasyland.

Eight voice actors from the Japanese version of the movie “Toy Story 5” appeared as guests on the talk show. Returning from the previous film are Toshiaki Karasawa as Woody, George Tokoro as Buzz Lightyear, and Shun Matsuo and Shohei Nagata of Chocolate Planet as Ducky and Bunny.

In addition, Alice Hirose, who makes her debut in this film as Lilypad, along with Yuto Sano (M!LK) as Smarty Pants and Kazu Inoue (Nogizaka46) as Snappy from the “Tech Trio,” Kemuri Matsui (Reiwa Roman) as Atlas, all made surprise appearances.

Following this, starting at 9:45 p.m., a “Special Greeting” event is scheduled to take place along the parade route within the park. In addition to Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear, the eight Japanese voice actors who appeared on the talk show will make an appearance.

Stay tuned for more coverage of the event on the “Travel Watch” website and our official X account (@travelwatch_jp)!

The latest installment in the series, “Toy Story 5,” tells the story of Jessie, the cowgirl doll who has watched over Bonnie—an imaginative yet shy young girl—as she grows up.

Bonnie has become obsessed with the cutting-edge digital tablet “Lily Pad,” and as her once-cheerful smile begins to fade, she teams up once again with Woody and Buzz to turn things around—but will they succeed?

In today’s world, overflowing with digital technology and a wide variety of entertainment options—an era in which the nature of “play” has changed—this content serves to remind us anew of the “special role” that only toys can fulfill.

Tokyo Disneyland is currently hosting “Fun Time with Toy Story 5” through September 14. The event features a “Toy Friends Stamp Rally,” merchandise, special menu items, and decorations.
