“UNIQLO JR Shin-Osaka Store” to Reopen with Expanded Space on July 3; Collaborative T-Shirts with JR West and Ganko Sushi to Go on Sale

Posted on June 30, 2026 by Editor in Chief

JR West Fashion Goods will reopen the “UNIQLO JR Shin-Osaka Store,” located on the second floor of “Alde Shin-Osaka” at Shin-Osaka Station, on July 3 following an expansion and renovation. The store’s floor space will be expanded from approximately 81 tsubo to approximately 135 tsubo, and in addition to men’s and women’s apparel, the store will begin carrying a selection of children’s items. In-store facilities will also be expanded, with the number of self-checkout registers increasing from 2 to 4 and the number of fitting rooms increasing from 2 to 4.

To commemorate the relaunch, we are releasing a collection of six original T-shirt designs created in collaboration with local companies. With the cooperation of “TRANGIS←,” a brand developed by Kansai Koki Seibi—a subsidiary of the JR West Group—that reimagines public signage systems, the lineup features designs incorporating railway cars, route maps, destination signs, and station directional signs (pictograms). Additionally, in partnership with “Ganko Sushi,” which originated in Juso, Osaka, the company is selling two designs—one with an English logo and one with a Japanese logo—both featuring illustrations of sushi and sushi chefs.

To celebrate the grand reopening, a lucky draw will be held for three days from July 3 to 5 for customers who make purchases of 5,000 yen or more (including tax). Prizes include: 1st Prize—a pair of tickets for the lunch buffet at the “Osaka Station Hotel” (worth 24,000 yen); Second Prize: a pair of tickets to “Kaiyukan” (worth 5,600 yen); Third Prize: a “551 Horai” gift certificate (worth 1,000 yen); Fourth Prize: a “Alde Shin-Osaka” shopping voucher (worth 500 yen); and a Umai-Bō snack as a participation prize.

During the same period, customers will earn five times the usual number of “WESTER Points”—the JR West Group’s universal loyalty points—(5 points for every 110 yen, including tax). Furthermore, from July 15 to 31, a stamp rally will be held where customers can earn up to 500 points by using the “WESPO App” to shop at various stores within UNIQLO and Alde Shin-Osaka.
