The Disney Store will release the “DISNEY ALICE IN WONDERLAND 75TH ANNIVERSARY” collection on June 19 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the film “Alice in Wonderland.” Pre-sales will begin on the 16th at the Disney Flagship Store in Tokyo, the Tokyo Disney Resort Store, and the official online store.
The collection is based on the concept of a dark and mysterious world. It features characters Alice encountered in Wonderland, and the “Plush Keychains” (2,600 yen) in particular bring together a lineup of characters rarely seen in merchandise, including the Pencil Bird, the Spectacles Bird, the Mormelas, the Broom Dog, and the Bread and Butterfly.
The apparel selection is also extensive, featuring summery, sheer “skirts” (9,000 yen) and chic, dark-colored “T-shirts” (4,900 yen).
Adding a touch of glamour to the anniversary collection are the annual collaborative items with “ANNA SUI”: an “eco-bag” (16,000 yen), a “handbag” (33,000 yen), and a “wallet” (24,000 yen). Both the handbag and wallet feature a diamond pattern with a talking doorknob design. The eco-bag is covered in an all-over print featuring a gathering of characters.
In addition, the “Disney stanDs” plush toy series features a full lineup of characters from the film: Tweedledee, Tweedledum, the March Hare, the Mad Hatter, Dormouse, Alice, Dinah, the Cheshire Cat, and the White Rabbit. The Queen of Hearts and the Playing Card Soldiers also make their debut. Prices range from 2,800 to 3,000 yen each.
