Seibuen Amusement Park: Pool Opens June 27. Audrey Kasuga’s “Oni-gawara” Float Returns, and Everyone Can Try the Counter-Current Challenge Too

Posted on June 30, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Seibuen Amusement Park (2964 Yamaguchi, Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture) will operate its summer pool from June 27 to September 23 (from June 27 to July 17, and from September 1 onward, only on weekends and holidays). Once again this year, the park has appointed Toshiaki Kasuga of the comedy duo Audrey as the “embodiment of Seibuen Amusement Park” and will feature unique themed displays prominently showcasing Kasuga throughout the entire pool area.

In the lazy river area, in addition to the special Kasuga-themed inner tubes—the “Kasuga Real Oni-gawara Inner Tube” and the “Dark Past Inner Tube”—life-size panels and large billboards will be displayed throughout the area. One of the highlights will be the first-ever participatory event, “~Special Orders from Kasuga~ Let’s All Take on the Challenge! Against-the-Current Time,” in which visitors will swim against the current in the lazy river while guided by a voiceover from Kasuga.

In addition, the park will host water-based events such as “Splash! Summer Beat,” which uses the wave pool, and “Raging Seas! Wave Riding Time,” which generates waves up to 70 cm high, and will also introduce a new paid rest area called “Lazy River Premium Seats.”

This summer, in addition to the pool, there will be a participatory show where residents of the Showa-era retro shopping district dance to pop songs on a nighttime stage “Bon DANCE FEVER ~Keshiga Awakens~” (a total of 12 days from July to September), where residents of the Showa-era retro shopping district dance to popular songs on a nighttime stage, as well as the music-synchronized fireworks show “Manten Fireworks” (a total of 18 performances from July to September).

In addition to staging two performances a day (each lasting about 60 minutes) of the “Miracle Dream Circus,” which features acts such as aerial trapeze, the park will open “Wanpaku Republic,” a new children’s area equipped with three types of large slides and a water play area, on July 17.

Pool admission tickets are 3,400 yen for adults, 2,900 yen for middle and high school students, 2,200 yen for elementary school students, and 1,500 yen for preschoolers. The facility also sells a “Pool Passport,” which offers great value by allowing unlimited pool access during the season, as well as a “Summer Fun Pass” that grants access to both the amusement park and the pool.
