Seibu Railway will carry out a renovation of “Seibu Kyujo-mae Station” on the Sayama and Yamaguchi Lines over a four-year period from fiscal year 2026 to fiscal year 2029.
This initiative is part of efforts to enhance the value of the Tokorozawa railway corridor. As the gateway to the Belluna Dome and Seibuen Amusement Park, the station area will be renovated as the first step toward future development.
Specifically, the project will involve rebuilding the roof (canopy) over the station building and the ticket gates, renovating the public restrooms, rebuilding the multipurpose restrooms, and enhancing the aesthetics of the area inside the ticket gates. It will also feature spatial design elements intended to heighten anticipation for baseball games, live concerts, and nearby leisure facilities.
The design, which captures the breeze of the Sayama Hills, the excitement and cheers of baseball fans, and the ebb and flow of people’s emotions, is based on the concept of “Swing” and aims to create “a space where your mind and body begin to move the moment you step off the train.”
