The biggest change in the 2026 model is the first-ever inclusion of a “dial-style TSA lock,” which was highly requested by users. Compared to other 36L carry-on models, the price has increased by 3,000 yen from the previous model (to 22,900 yen), but the benefit of no longer having to keep a physical key separate is sure to be worth more than the price for frequent travelers and business travelers, as well as those who tend to forget where they put their keys. It’s also said that even if you happen to forget your passcode, you can unlock it with the included key.

The exterior finish has been changed from a smooth, glossy texture to a textured finish similar to that of the early models. By applying fine irregularities to the surface to create a rough texture, scratches are less noticeable than on previous models.

With an eye toward a full-scale expansion into overseas markets, the color lineup has been expanded to a total of nine colors (for major sizes). Taking into account fashion trends, regional cultures, and skin tones, vibrant new colors such as burgundy, orange, and smoky green have been introduced in addition to the classic black and gray.

With a wider range of colors available, you can not only choose one that suits your personal taste, but you’ll also find it less likely that family members or group members will end up with the same color, and it’ll be easier to spot your bag when retrieving checked luggage at the airport. Please note that the 105L model—the largest capacity option—is currently available only in the five basic colors (white, gray, greige, navy, and black).

It also retains the features that have been popular in previous models, such as quiet twin-wheel casters, a continuously adjustable carrying handle that can be set to your preferred height, and caster stoppers that are convenient for traveling by train.
