Hilton to Open Its First Property in Hyogo, “Conrad Kobe,” in 2030. The hotel will feature 136 guest rooms on the upper floors of a mixed-use building directly connected to Sannomiya-Hanatokei-mae Station.

Hilton announced plans to open “Conrad Kobe” (6-5-1 Kano-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture), its first luxury brand hotel in Hyogo Prefecture, in 2030.

Positioned as the hotel component of the “Kobe City Hall Building No. 2 Redevelopment Project” being carried out by the City of Kobe, the project is being jointly developed by a consortium comprising seven companies, including Orix Real Estate and Hankyu Hanshin Real Estate.

The hotel will occupy the first four floors and floors 20 through 28 of a new high-rise mixed-use building to be constructed on the project site. The building is directly connected via an underground passage to the Sannomiya-Hanatokeimae subway station, and its location—situated midway between the waterfront area and tourist attractions such as the Former Foreign Settlement and Nankinmachi—offers easy access to these destinations.

In addition to 136 guest rooms, including suites, the hotel features dining options such as an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a cocktail bar.

In addition, the hotel features an executive lounge, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a spa, as well as a ballroom and meeting spaces totaling approximately 500 square meters to accommodate international conferences and events.

This will be the fifth Conrad property in Japan, following locations in Tokyo and Osaka, as well as the Nagoya property set to open on July 31 and the Yokohama property scheduled to open in 2027. With 50 properties across five continents worldwide, the brand aims to provide an experience that will help establish a new landmark and hub for interaction in the international city of Kobe.
