Hakone Hotel Kowakien: Up to 30% off the 1-night, 2-meal plan. Unlimited access to Yunessun and Mori no Yu, plus a luxurious buffet with all-you-can-drink beverages.

Rakuten Travel is holding a “Special Coupon Week” through June 30, offering discounts of up to 30% on travel reservations. By combining multiple coupons currently available, you can book eligible hotels and hot spring inns nationwide at great savings.

The long-established Hakone Hotel Kowakien (1297 Ninohira, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture) is currently offering a basic package that includes one night’s stay with two meals (buffet style) and unlimited access to Unessen and Mori no Yu. For two guests sharing a room, the regular price starts at 17,880 yen per person.

Right across from the hotel is “Unessan,” an all-weather leisure facility popular for its heated pool and day-use hot springs. With this plan, the one-day pass—which normally costs 3,500 yen for adults and 1,800 yen for children—is free, allowing you to enjoy the facilities as much as you like before check-in and after check-out. In addition, you’ll receive a “Unessan Festival Participation Ticket” worth 1,000 yen.

The dinner buffet features a sumptuous lineup, including beef sirloin steak grilled on a teppan grill, grilled seafood, jumbo fried shrimp, nigiri sushi, and revived versions of traditional Komoroen ramen and curry. At the breakfast buffet, guests can enjoy freshly made rice balls made with domestic rice and filled with their choice of ingredients, roast beef sandwiches, and the new signature apple pie, baked in a traditional oven.
