JR East Cross Station Development Company will reopen a section of “Gransta Tokyo,” the in-station shopping complex at JR Tokyo Station, as the “Marunouchi Underground Ticket Gate Area” in mid-September.
This renovation transforms the “Marunouchi-zaka Area” of Gransta Tokyo—which closed in January—into a space that is more accessible for everyday use, under the concept “FAV ZAKA.” The space features four distinct zones that blend food and lifestyle goods to encourage exploration, with a lineup of 26 stores, including 10 new brands and 12 shops exclusive to Tokyo Station.
“Butter Confectionery Specialist Torakodo,” a shop featuring Japanese and Western sweets designed by popular artist Chiharu Sakazaki—known for the Suica Penguin—and “TOKYO PASTA STATION,” an Italian restaurant that makes 10 varieties of fresh pasta in-house every day, “Tokyo Kissa Merry,” a new brand from Mary Chocolate; “Fortnum & Mason,” a tea stand from the brand that is a purveyor to the British Royal Family; and “Hobonichi Techo Store,” the brand’s first flagship store—visitors can enjoy dining and shopping at these carefully curated shops.
