Hotel New Akao (1993-65 Atami, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture) has launched a half-day stay plan titled “A Luxurious Atami Stay: Relax with Spectacular Hot Springs and Fine French Cuisine,” which allows guests to enjoy the hotel’s amenities without staying overnight.
In addition to a French dinner at “Bonheur,” a restaurant offering panoramic views of Sagami Bay, guests can use the three on-site hot spring facilities until 9:00 PM. Prices are 11,000 yen for adults (6,600 yen for elementary school students) on weekdays and 11,500 yen for adults (7,150 yen for elementary school students) on weekends; adults residing in Shizuoka Prefecture receive a 500-yen discount.
At Restaurant Bonheur, we offer a French course featuring locally sourced ingredients carefully selected by our chef, including seasonal kanpachi carpaccio, Atami corn potage, sautéed domestic beef inner thigh, and a dessert made with Tanna yogurt and matcha. Guests can enjoy these dishes alongside the sunset view of Sagami Bay, along with wine pairings.
Face towels and bath towels are available for free rental in the bath area. The three large public baths located throughout the facility each draw from different high-concentration hot spring sources. Among them, “Spa Rium Nishiki” boasts an infinity-style open-air bath and sauna offering breathtaking views that make you feel as though you’re one with the ocean. After your bath, you can enjoy complimentary soft drinks at the “Royal Lounge” (2nd floor of the Horizon Wing), which offers a panoramic view of the ocean through its large glass windows.
In addition, guests can stroll through the hotel’s halls, which retain a retro Showa-era charm, or play old-fashioned games in “Nigiwai Yokocho,” allowing them to enjoy a quintessential Atami experience without having to bring anything.
Reservations can be made by phone or online until 6:00 p.m. the day before.
