Tokyo Disneyland’s Nighttime Parade of Lights is now in its 25th year! Here are some ways to enjoy the night!

Posted on June 29, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Launched on June 1, 2001, it has continued to light up the park’s evenings with lights and music. Let’s take a look at the park on the day of the milestone and the attractions that have continued for more than 25 years, which can be enjoyed even during the evening and nighttime entry into the park for the summer.

Started in 1983 and became Dreamlights in 2001. The highlight of the night parade during its long run!

Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights” is a nighttime parade that started in 2001. Its predecessor, “Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade,” the beginning of the Parade of Lights, started in 1983. This was followed by the famous parade “Disney Fantillusion! which is still talked about to this day, and the current parade has continued the lineage.

Floats for the Disney/Pixar films “Monsters, Inc.” and “Finding Nemo” were added in 2007, and the world of Disney’s Fairy Tale, led by the Disney film “Aladdin” and Tinker Bell, was added in 2011.

In 2015, “Rapunzel on the Tower” and “Peter Pan” floats were added, followed by the blockbuster “Anna and the Snow Queen” float in 2017. The “Cinderella” and “Beauty and the Beast” floats are renewed every few years with LED lights for a more brilliant appearance. The performance will be held once a day for about 45 minutes along the parade route.

Speaking of the parade, the music was just as good as the parade itself. From the beginning of the parade, “Baroque Hoedown,” with its characteristic synth sound, is played along with the announcement of effects, and from that moment on, the parade invites you into a world of light and magic. The sound sources from the underliners and floats were skillfully mixed and matched, and the time spent constantly surrounded by sound was blissful. The smooth transition between the songs makes you want to position yourself near the speakers.

The LED float is one of the highlights of the festival. Of course, the previous soft and warm glow of the floats is also memorable. At this point, all the floats have been fully illuminated with LEDs. We can enjoy a more subtle glow, and the expression of light has changed with the times over the past 25 years. Along with the universal appeal of the parade, there are fresh surprises, and like the park, it is an ever-evolving entity that will never be completed.

When I watched the film as a child, there were snails, ladybugs, and beautiful swans. The announcement for the 25th anniversary was also very special.

Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights celebrates its 25th anniversary today. The beautiful parade of lights, accompanied by familiar Disney music, will continue to bring eternal brilliance to the Park at night. The broadcast went on to say, “With 25 years of memories and dreams that will never change, today’s parade will begin again soon.

From June 1 to July 12, visitors to Tokyo Disneyland will receive a special image with a commemorative message via the official app. In addition, a summary video tracing the 25-year history of the park is also available on the official SNS. Be sure to check it out.
