The Oarai Festival Executive Committee will hold the Oarai Marine Fireworks Display 2026 on September 26. The event will be held at Oarai Sun Beach (in the central harbor area of Oarai-cho, Higashiibaraki-gun, Ibaraki Prefecture) from 12:00 to 21:00 (fireworks display from 18:00 to 19:30). In case of stormy weather, the fireworks display will be postponed to the following day.
The number of fireworks to be launched is set to be “the largest in Oarai’s history at 20,000 shots,” and will be handled by Mito-based Nomura Fireworks Industry Co. The event will be held on the sandy beach of Sun Beach, with table seats, paired seats, leisure seats, and an invitation area in Oarai Town.
Sales of spectator seats have already begun, with leisure seat seats (1 x 1 m) priced at 4,500 yen, pipe chair seats at 8,800 yen, pair seat seats (1-2 persons) at 18,000 yen, and table seats (1 table, 4 persons) at 42,000 yen. Hometown tax tickets are also available, but some seat types have sold out (table seats + parking lot) are also available.
The official parking lots will be on sale on June 5 at 5:00 p.m. on a special page.
