JR West has suspended or all-day operation of some conventional lines since the first train departures on June 3 due to Typhoon No. 6. As of this morning’s announcement, the following trains are affected.

Kuroshio: Partial suspension of operation
Nanki: Partial suspension of operation
Shiokaze/Nanki: Partial suspension of operation
Due to strong winds expected on the Kosei Line where the limited express Thunderbird runs, some trains have changed their route to the Biwako Line via Maibara Station.
As a result, the arrival time at Tsuruga Station and the Kyoto-Osaka area will be delayed by about 30 minutes, and passengers may not be able to transfer to the Hokuriku Shinkansen “Kagayaki” and “Hakutaka” trains bound for Nagano and Tokyo, or to the Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen trains bound for Kyoto and Shin-Osaka Stations, respectively, as usual.
The “Tsurugi” may not be able to transfer to the “Kagayaki” and “Hakutaka” trains at Kanazawa and Toyama Stations as usual due to the delay of the “Tsurugi”.
As for the Hokuriku Shinkansen, operations were suspended between Nagano and Kanazawa due to power equipment trouble, but are expected to resume around 9:50 a.m.
