On June 4, JAL launched the “JAL Jubilee Express,” a specially painted aircraft commemorating the Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary “Sparkling Jubilee,” an anniversary event at Tokyo DisneySea. The aircraft will operate on domestic routes to/from Haneda and Shin-Chitose for a limited time until around April 2027.
The first flight was JL625 from Haneda to Kumamoto at 08:00. At Gate 11 of Terminal 1, commemorative stickers were distributed to passengers of the first flight, and models of past special-paint planes were displayed.
JAL has been an official sponsor of Tokyo Disney Resort since Tokyo Disneyland opened in 1983.
JAL Jubilee Express will use a Boeing 737-800 (registration code: JA339J), the same aircraft as the Tokyo Disney Resort 30th Anniversary specially-painted “JAL Happiness Express” that operated from July 2013 to March 2014.
On the tarmac, staff holding banners saw visitors off. Despite the early morning, many visitors gathered on the observation deck of Haneda Airport Terminal 1.
The specific flight schedule will be announced on JAL’s official website “Flight Status Information (Domestic Flights)” around the evening of the day before the flight.
