Itoen Hotels Opens “Yugo Grand Hotel” in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture. Budget hot spring brand offering stays starting at 9,680 yen per night (including two meals) makes its debut in Western Japan

Posted on June 29, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Itoen Hotels will open the “Yugo Grand Hotel” (581-2 Yugo, Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture) on July 9, marking its first property in western Japan. The hotel is a renovated version of the former property located in Yugo Onsen, one of the “Three Hot Springs of Mimasaka” in northern Okayama Prefecture.

As an affordable hot spring inn brand that guests will want to visit again and again, the basic “one-night stay with two meals included” buffet plan starts at 9,680 yen per person, and all-you-can-drink alcohol during dinner is available for 1,100 yen (free on Saturdays and certain holidays). Guests can also enjoy entertainment services such as a welcome drink, a foot bath in the garden, free in-house karaoke, and table tennis.

The hotel features a total of 73 guest rooms. Centered around traditional Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats, the property offers a range of modern, tranquil accommodations, including Japanese-Western style rooms with open-air baths and Simmons beds, as well as rooms with semi-open-air baths and scenic views.

The large public bath also features an open-air bath, allowing guests to enjoy the historic Yugo Onsen—long cherished as a “skin-beautifying spring”—in a setting brimming with rustic charm.

Online reservations will begin on June 15, and telephone reservations will be accepted starting June 23.
