Taiyonotou Confectionery Shop (TNT MARKET) has released EXPO 2025 official licensed product “Mecha Maid Okini Osaka/Kansai Expo Can”. It contains 12 plain polvorons and is priced at 1,620 yen. We quickly got our hands on the actual product at the Daimaru Tokyo store’s pre-sale and report on how to purchase the Mecha Maid Okini can (yellow), the product’s features, and the taste of the confectionery.
I got in line at the Daimaru Tokyo store pop-up. Can I get one right away at “Yoyakunashi”? The venue for the Tokyo pop-up is the MVP space on the 1st floor, in front of the central entrance (1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The store will be open from May 27 to June 2, and there is a limit of 3 cans of Maido Okini per person. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. is by advance reservation in 30-minute increments, and digital numbered tickets will be distributed from 10:00 p.m. the day before. Free admission will be guided from around 12:30 to 13:00. The reporter’s visit was before 3:00 p.m. on a weekday, and the waiting line outside the store was about 1.5 lines. Immediately after the reporter got in line, a customer asked, “How long will it take to get in line from now?” The answer was “It will take more than an hour,” but the total time actually spent was 53 minutes.
