Rakuten Travel is holding “Rakuten Travel Super SALE” until June 20, 2012, with special deals on travel reservations. Sale plans are available at hotels and hot spring resorts nationwide, and up to 30% off can be applied when combined with the coupons being distributed.
Hotel New Akao (1993-65, Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture) in Atami is now offering an overnight buffet plan with hot spring and seasonal delicacies. Prices start at 17,100 yen per person per room for double occupancy.
This popular inn in Atami on the Izu Peninsula retains a Showa-era retro atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat buffet plan includes sushi and sashimi made from seasonal fish, steaks grilled right in front of you, Shizuoka oden, Fujinomiya yakisoba, and about 90 other dishes.
The hotel stands on the quay of the scenic “Nishikigaura” and all guest rooms have ocean views. At the “Sparium Nishiki” hot spring bathhouse, guests can refresh themselves in an infinity open-air bath boasting a spectacular view as if they are one with the ocean.
The hotel is undergoing a phased renewal from this spring through 2027, with the first terrace restaurant opening in May, and a fully-equipped kids’ park opening inside the building in July.
