JR East Cross Station Development Company is releasing a limited-edition collection of five collaborative products featuring the “Suica Penguin” design on home appliances from the lifestyle brand “BRUNO,” with an initial production run of 100 units per item.
The first products in the lineup are the “Compact Hair Dryer” (15,500 yen) and the “Slim 2-Way Stick Vacuum” (15,800 yen). Sales will begin at 10:00 a.m. on June 11 on the company’s online store, “GRANSTA MALL.”
This compact hair dryer features a design depicting a Suica penguin and its chick flapping their wings as if flying through the air. The unit weighs approximately 300 grams, and the cord is about 2 meters long. It is equipped with a 1,200-watt BLDC motor, and the airflow can be adjusted to one of three settings.
It features a total of four modes—including HOT mode, which produces warm air at approximately 100°C, and WARM mode, which produces cool air at 60°C—as well as a negative ion function.
The Slim 2-Way Stick Vacuum features a design on its ivory-colored body depicting the Suica penguin and its chick holding a broom and a duster. When the floor head is attached, it weighs approximately 840g and has a dust capacity of approximately 300mL.
It is USB-rechargeable (5V/2A input) and, after approximately 4 hours of charging, provides about 24 minutes of continuous use in low mode and about 14 minutes in high mode. It features a 2-in-1 design that allows it to be used as a handheld vacuum cleaner, incorporates a HEPA filter, and both the dust cup and filter are washable.
The second series is scheduled for release in early July and will feature three kitchen appliances: a “Compact Hot Plate,” a “Steam & Bake Toaster,” and a “Multi-Stick Blender.”
