Orange Page will release “Suica no Penguin Postcard Book: Penguins Full of Penguins / Minna Nakama Edition” on July 16. The postcard-size, 56-page books are priced at 1,760 yen each. The book is available for pre-order at bookstores nationwide and online at Amazon, Rakuten Books, and other online bookstores.
It contains 24 postcards of different designs featuring Suica penguins, baby penguins, and their pals, arranged by theme. The collection is also recommended for sending postcards with stamps attached, decorating your room, or looking at as a collection of illustrations.
In the “Full of Penguins” issue, the cover features penguins pretending to be station clerks, snowboarding, playing musical instruments, and floating in space, while the “All Friends” issue features cute little penguins posing on an alpaca, doing yoga with a cat, and marching with a mallard duck. (Designs are subject to change).
The Suica penguin, the image character of JR East’s Suica transportation IC card, is scheduled to “graduate” at the end of March 2027.
Orange Page has declared 2026 as the “Suica no Penguin” Memorial Year, and has announced a multifaceted product rollout: “Suica no Penguin Letter Book” (1,870 yen) was released in March, “Suica no Penguin Sticker Book [Usual Life Edition] [Outing Edition]” (1,760 yen each) will be published in July, and “Suica no Penguin Fan Book” (2,420 yen) in August.
