JR Tokai and Oriental Land will operate a special “Sparkling Dreams Shinkansen” train on the Tokaido Shinkansen for about nine months starting June 19.
This limited edition train will be specially painted with the theme of “Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary Sparkling Jubilee,” the anniversary event currently being held at Tokyo DisneySea, and will operate mainly on the “Hikari” and “Kodama” trains between Tokyo and Shin-Osaka. The car body will be gorgeously decorated with Mickey Mouse, Duffy and other friends in special 25th anniversary costumes and eight theme ports to express the exuberance of the festivities. Guests will also be able to enjoy original head covers and table stickers for in-train decoration, as well as the in-train melody of the 25th anniversary theme song “Come Join the Jubilee.
Photo spots featuring the “Tokyo DisneySea 25th Anniversary Sparkling Jubilee” will be set up at some stations along the route for a limited time. Details will be announced on the Tokyo Disney Resort official website as soon as they are finalized.
The first train on June 19 will be the Hikari No. 632 (stopping at Toyohashi, Hamamatsu, Shizuoka, Shin-Yokohama, and Shinagawa), departing Nagoya Station at 6:45 and arriving at Tokyo Station at 8:42.
