The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) will exhibit the organizer’s exhibit “Japanese Government Garden” at the GREEN x EXPO 2027 (hereafter, Horticulture Expo) scheduled to be held from March 19 to September 26, 2027.
The Japanese Government Garden will cover 2.5 hectares, the largest exhibition area at the Horticultural Exposition. Considering its location at the head of the Izumi River, the garden will consist of two parts: the “2021 Japanese Garden” and the “Exhibition Hall,” both of which are designed to reduce the burden on the natural environment.
The theme of the exhibition is “Japanese Views of Nature: Explore, See, and Live. In addition to a theater that allows visitors to experience the natural climate, there will be exhibits where visitors can learn about the skills and wisdom that people in various regions of Japan have developed in their daily lives, as well as displays of ikebana by the heads of various schools and bonsai from the collection of the Imperial Household Agency.
They will also introduce recent global environmental issues and changes in the natural environment around us, as well as Japanese technologies and initiatives that contribute to solving these issues, including actual equipment and outdoor exhibits.
