Orange Page will release the mook “Suica no Penguin Fan Book” on August 3, 2012, in A4 size, 36 pages, priced at 2,420 yen. The book is available for pre-order at bookstores nationwide and online at Amazon, Rakuten Books, and other online bookstores.
The special supplement is a set of plump and glutinous “marshmallow stickers” decorated with Suica penguins. The stickers are made up of more than 100 carefully selected illustrations from “Penguin Diary,” drawn by Chiaru Sakazaki, and are in a cute size that can be attached to a notebook or a smartphone.
The mook (booklet) will include many must-see information for fans, such as a special interview with Ms. Chiiru Sakazaki, introduction of goods sold by Orange Page, and a pilgrimage to Suica’s penguin holy places.
The Suica penguin, the image character of JR East’s Suica transportation IC card, is scheduled to “graduate” at the end of March 2027.
Orange Page has declared 2026 as the “Suica no Penguin” Memorial Year, and has announced a multifaceted product rollout: “Suica no Penguin Letter Book” (1,870 yen) was released in March, and “Suica no Penguin Sticker Book (for everyday life)” and “Suica no Penguin Outing Book (for outings)” (1,760 yen each) will be published in July.
