Snow Peak will release its first “Cooling System Wear” series of cooling apparel on May 22.
The Peltier Cooling Device Vest, which combines six Peltier units and two fans, is a wear that achieves high cooling capacity through contact cooling by Peltier and vaporization heat using fans.
The vest’s fabric is made of Taslan nylon, which has a natural fiber-like texture, and the design is said to be easy to use not only for camping and other outdoor activities but also for daily use. It is priced at 99,000 yen.
The Water Cooling Device Vest, which dissipates body heat by circulating cold water through tubes inside the garment, is designed to maintain a cooling effect while keeping the garment quiet. Cold water or ice is fed into a tank on the back, and a pump is used to build a water channel.
The included “Stainless Cooling Pack” (2 pieces) can be used for more instantaneous cooling. The fabric is also made of Taslan nylon. The price is 57,200 yen.
