TODEN REAL ESTATE announced that construction of a luxury hotel, the core of the redevelopment project it is promoting at the south exit of JR Obihiro Station, began on April 28, 2012.
At Obihiro Station, the “Obihiro Station South Exit Redevelopment Project (tentative name),” a new facility including a hotel, commercial facilities, condominiums, and a self-parking lot is scheduled to open in the spring of 2028, utilizing the 25,000m2 site of the former Nagasaki-ya Obihiro Store, a commercial facility that once stood in front of the station.
The nine-story hotel building, “Sauna & Spa Resort Hokkaido Hotel Obihiro Ekiminami,” will be managed by Katsumai Holdings, which also manages the Mori no Spa Resort Hokkaido Hotel in Obihiro City. It is located at 12-3, Nishi 4-jo Minami, Obihiro City, Hokkaido.
The hotel is equipped with a total of 130 rooms, including rooms with saunas and open-air baths, as well as restaurants, lounges, gyms, and other facilities. The hotel also has a large mall hot spring bath to relieve travel and transportation fatigue, and a variety of sauna facilities produced by TTNE, a sauna creative group, to provide a high-quality and relaxing resort experience in the city center.
