The Konosu Fireworks Festival Executive Committee of Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture, is pleased to announce the “Burn! The 23rd Konosu Fireworks Festival” will be held on October 10! The 23rd Konosu Fireworks Festival will be held on October 10. The venue is the Nukata Sports Ground (1073-1 Nukata, Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture), a 20-minute walk from Konosu Station on the JR Takasaki Line, and the banks of the Arakawa River.

Shaku-dama and Starmine will color the autumn night sky at one of Japan’s leading fireworks festivals. Tickets for paid spectator seats will be on sale at Lawson Ticket from May 30.

The highlight of this year’s event is the challenge to set a “Guinness World Record” for the number of consecutive launches of shaku-dama fireworks in three minutes. The pyrotechnicians who set the Guinness World Record for the launching of a shaku-dama at the 13th event will gather again to try to set a new world record.

In addition, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Konosu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Club, an exhibition flight by the Air Self-Defense Force Blue Impulse will be held. The Blue Impulse will perform acrobatics during the daytime on the day of the competition. Flight times and other details will be announced at a later date.
