ANA and Pokemon Inc. will operate three specially painted planes to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pokemon.
Pokemon Jet Red” and “Pokemon Jet Green” were designed for the first and second special painted aircraft, respectively, to match the Game Boy “Pokemon Red and Green” that were released 30 years ago. The Pokemon Jet Red is scheduled to enter service at the end of July.
The Pokémon Jet Red is a domestic Boeing 787-8 aircraft (registration code: JA819A), and in addition to Pikachu, it depicts the “Ho-o-O-type” Pokémon that join the ranks at the beginning of each successive Pokémon game.
Pokémon Green, on the other hand, is an international Boeing 787-9 aircraft (registration code: JA923A), depicting the “Kusatsu Type” of the three successive families in addition to Pikachu.
Each cabin will be equipped with specially designed headrest covers, paper cups for drink service, and cocktail napkins (international flights only), and passengers will receive original design stickers.
